MC-ing duty with Vusak was a blast, it reminds me why I love talking to a crowd so much, The reaction you received is priceless, and the adrenaline rush gets to you.

And to all the participants who are so anxious about the results, you guys did your best and you really entertained the school so you should be happy about that, regardless of the results later :)

Speaking of results, this week has been a really eventful week for our seniors, no? Actually right, some of us were assigned by teacher Saw to key in all the student's SPM result so we had the "front row seats" to see the results. I have to say that although this year we were not so good, but we have done our best.

God that sounds fake. I dunno what else to say though, my time is coming soon, so maybe I'll take back these words then. SPM IS IN 7 MONTHS!!!! Decision Day (D-Day)? Approximately a year from now. I'm honestly scared. The 5A in UPSR, 7A in PMR and no. 1 in Form 4 means nothing now. To think that I was celebrating my heart out when I got those results, haizzz....

And during Literature, teacher Sim told us this story. There's this one mum who came to take her son's results and when she saw it, she broke down in tears. You see, he was diagnosed with cancer about two years ago and by the time SPM came around, it was terminal. He sat for 9 papers, and he wanted to push for a 10, which was Chinese, but he couldn't, because he was already broken down by the disease. He died a few days later.

And btw, his results? 9 A's! He could have gotten 10 A's. It was the fighting spirit he showed that got to me. As students, we have a responsibility, and that is to be the best that we can be and show our parents the money, time and energy spent on us for an education is worth it and I see a lot of people taking things for granted, me included.

Now, I want this more than anything, and I'm gonna prove that I will fulfill my responsibility. Straight A+, I'm coming to get you!

P/S: I hate when people judge a person based on which school they go to. Stereotype is prejudice, and prejudice is not COOL!

After church, i decided to go for a personality test thingy to determine which career path which is best suited for me. It was okay I guess, 160 questions, yes or no answers, simple enough right? But not all wanted to take it.

Anyways, the results were analysed. And guess what? Apparently I'm highly suitable for a career in biology-related field (as in medical, biochem, all those nonsense) and also Law. Thanks for telling me something I already know. But from the results kan, the person yang conducted the test can tell that I love Biology and Chemistry, loathe Physics, good public speaker and debater, have very good leadership qualities(ehem!) and many more qualities which I thought were quite accurate. Apa ni, hidung kembang sudah. Oh but then again, she also mention that from the test, I should be an analytical, systematic and person. Yeaaaaaah, sure.

But it opened up my eyes also lar, cause I know I'm on the right path. But you know what, my dad kinda questioned my abilities to be a doctor. Darn.

Yes, the journey for the debate team ended in the 3rd round when we lost to All Saints, and no, i did not cry like i thought i would when i wrote the previous blogpost. I was proud of the team and all, we really stepped up our game this year. No more embarassing losses and we really gave it our all. Our journey was not easy, teacher not being able to supervise for one whole week, multiple and last minute changes on scripts, self doubt and lots more. But we gained more than we lose, which is the experience that we get :) Apa ni, emo sudah kah?!

No lar, but All Saints really deserved it, they were good. Haha, mooting's next? BTW Landy, Emeh and Nerd, we all debate kick their ass already, kamu punya turn next month :P

Can't wait to see the finals 2moro, Lok Yuk and All Saints, AGAIN!!! Well, it beats sitting for the test, how the hell can people remember the process of blood clotting anyway?! haha, gud luck with the test though, I think most will need it, I MEAN.... Whatchu talking about?!

P/S: All is not lost though, Tchr Tok will still be wearing a blond extension in school for one whole day! Can't wait for that moment man, a square will be corrupted and and be un-NERD-ified. Thank God we all sampai 3rd round!!!

I'm went Chan Sze Wei's CNY Party on Sunday. It's great, cause get to see all the teacher's from primary school, especially teacher Marsiah. Let me tell you, she is still as horny as ever. This one young guy tried to limpas her cuz she block kan, so she stepped aside and said, "cute oh the guy kan" in front of her husband. The woman never changed.

Since I am within the vicinity of a webcam, apa lagi, camwhore lar! Then I tried to upload the pics but FAILED! Oh well, what to do.... God I miss Tengku Juliana AKA Tungsten now. Another thing I'm obsessed about is Dalja's Spring. Basically it's a K-Drama airing on KBS channel now. Every Mon-Thurs, from 10.10-11.20 at night. It's the only series I'd drop anything to watch it.

Fine, maybe the lead guy and girl isn't that hot. But don't judge a book by it's cover, or in this case, a drama by the looks of it's actors. It's seriously good.

I don't know if I should say this, cuz chan might kill me, but I think I'm more excited about drama than I am about debate. And I'm not even in drama. Meanwhile, I just became Landay's favourite person apart from her geng Duduk Belakang. :p

The Hate Post

I hate the debate topics for this year. What the hell man! Change is not progress?! Want to kill us one by one bah this kan! Siapa bah si smartass yang think it's so funny to use dat, pervs!

So I guess the holidays won't be the holidays for me lar now, cause you know, got latihan debate and all. Story of my life lar kan. And then, guess what happened in class? Teacher Siska said to me kan, in front of the whole entire class, "Mirabel, you more playful this year." There, the one freaking statement freaked me out. ONE FREAKING SENTENCE ! I scared oh, what if I lose to unknown people in SPM, in my glory YEARS? Oh shit, I can't imagine!

And now, I'm in a dilemma. It's a feeling that I really hate. Last time, it was if I choose between debate and mooting. Now, I'm pretty sure I'm going to choose both. Then it was my public speaking speech topic. I wanted to do one on gay rights, which I have already and it is such a pretty and magical script. Unfortunately, since we live in a country where even a simple peck on the lips shown on tv is cut out, I don't think I can present that for the competition.And yes, I'm still searching.

Now, this. Am I willing to go to New Zealand for a year on a student exchange programe? It's not that simple because if I were to go, I would miss out on scholarship applications and I don't know if I can afford to do that. My mummy say kan I'm the best hope for scholarship in my family. I know I'm vain, and I own it. I'm a vain Bi-atch baby! But if I were to go, I'll go to high school there for a year and maybe just continue staying my university in NZ. Dilemma, dilemma.

I can't do all this right now. I need to go back to Form 1. It was a heck lot easier facing life then. Oh, and to Landy, make sure we win drama okay? Must!

If I had a penny for every time I wrote 4ST instead of 5ST.....

It's official, all teachers are targeting me! You guys think so nice kah to call out my name every time in class. I know lar bah I'm the only one who is daring enough to stand up to you, mock you and be frank with you, but still... I'm kinda asking for it though I gotta admit that. Then again, I just can't stand being around the stupidity that teachers create. BLAME IT ON MY PARENTS!

You see, my mum went to high school(well, a year only, but still) and university in Canada, and dad was uni-educated in London, so they always encourage me to speak my mind. I'm sorry if it bothers some teachers here, but I'm glad I'm not molded to be according to some Asian "sensibilities" that in class, all I can do is sit, listen, shut up and absorb any information that the teachers spoon-feeds. HARSH, yes, but true nevertheless.

Oh whatever, a few years to go and I will finally express my thoughts without the fear of being expelled or something ugly like that.

I'm so glad my parent's are weird but awesome in their own way though, even though I complain like a female dog on steroids. I MEAN... Dad just bought a Pearl (IT'S A BRAND) drum set, a Yamaha keyboard and an Ibanez bass guitar out of the blue. But get this, none of us siblings know how to play ANY musical instruments.

But nooooo, now he thinks he can cram lessons into our poor heads and god willing, be able to play all of it ASAP. Oh daddy, hmmmm... We just had a guy come over and teach us the drums but I quit halfway. BORING!!!!!! I know I sound like an ungrateful child but the thing is, I AM AN UNGRATEFUL CHILD, when it comes to learning music at least.

Well hey, at least my parents can be cool when they try.

Interview is over and done with. Honestly, I'm okay with the selection we had. Hmmm, hopefully this year we can still improve from how we did overall last year. Some were very quiet you can hear a pin drop when they're talking, some were so overconfident they irk us B.O.D's with their atitude, and some were just plain wrong for Interact.

I enjoyed the part where when the interview was over, all the B.O.D's gather to discuss who we want in and who we want out. Mocking ensues. However, there was also quite a number of people who didn't have the guts to go for the interview. CHICKEN.

At least my acara sukan is over and done with. TWO GOLDS!!! Beat that :p I know I'm very late in putting up my new year's post but that's what you'll get if you have a dictator for a mum.

And Chan Sze Wei, before you kill me, I have made a decision. And that is, to drop debate for mooting. I want both bah dat but it'll clash sometimes in the future. I love debate but I need to try something new. And I want the award for BEST ADVOTAGE! So, there you go.

Me love Christmas, very much. But I love Christmas even more when people give me money. O f course, it gets even better then two people does it. I love u grandma and grandaunty, u rock ! So how was your Christmas? I spent the morning in Putera because the church had this combined meeting thingy, and you know, so many people came, like 1500++, including monkeys, i mean children.....

So I keep on seeing them running around like wild animals and I can almost swear that children is out of the list for me. Of course, as usual mummy has other ideas AKA she wants more brats to lie around the house ruining my day. NO FREAKING WAY!!! I hope she menopauses soon, before she pops out more children.

I'm finally home !!!!!!!!! RYLA was definitely an experience to remember, I'm smiling now. I still remember while on the bus and the lady did this ice breaking session which was both boring and awkward. Come on lar, u can't find any other activities besides adding "...in the bedroom" behind a quote. But there's one quote actually, get this. "It's finger licking good, in the bedroom". Okay, that was gross.

Then we reached an Orang Asli village where we donated food, used clothes, etc. Haha, a rotarian said their culture is being lazy. wtf, is that even considered a culture? I mean, they have a proper home, running water and electricity provided for but they couldn't even bother to wash their clothes! Sad.

Later, we were split into groups. Obviously. It was random, like they started countin 1 to 10 and that would be your group. I was in group 8. LUCKY NUMBER! But my group no hyper people lar, but it was a nice change. I didn't mind it though, it's nice to be around peaceful people, sometimes. So they gave us colours and our group name must have the name of the colour in it. Our group was called the Green Goblin. Don't mock it, it's magical :)

After that, we were asked to make a flag for each group. It was okay, considerin not everyone can draw like Andrea does. There's one group called the Pink Rangers and on their flag appears to have one sick Ranger. According to their hyper team leader, it's because THEY'RE SO GOOD, IT HURTS. Idiot.

Of course RYLA is not so much a physical camp because the bulk of the activities is made up of ceramah-like session. Some were eye-opening, some was just dead boring. The clown workshop was fun. I now am not afraid to twist the long sausage balloon. I'll impress you guys when I make a dog out of a balloon in school, mark my words. Then, we get to be clown. I make-up Ah Man (my team member) and vice versa. Too bad I didn't wear the full clown costumes, all oredi kena take. But hey, at least I got to wear an Afro wig. It was, INTERESTING. Pics?

FFFFOMG, but getting rid of the make-up was a pain in the ass. We had to use baby oil I tell you. And we had to do it fast because of the jungle trekking later. Which by the way nearly ruined my Nike. But it was fun can burn all those calories piled up from eating 6 times a day, which was heavenly by the way.

All in all, the camp was definitely worth all the beggin I had to endure to persuade the mother plus the amount of money spent. RM 270 can buy you a dress and shoes okay. I'll also miss all those people I've made friends with, c u guys on MSN ? I'll also will never forget the view there. Can lawan Sabah man. But the last day of the camp was kinda bad, especially for Adam (another participant from Sabah). So sad man, he lost his camera just minutes before leaving for the airport. 700++ pics I tell you. Terus the mood hilang when getting back home.

Wanna guess what's waiting for me as soon as I reached home though? Sup Tulang! My daddy lovingly masak the sup for 5 hours so that I can eat a home cooked meal to welcome me home. Isn't that sweet? And he's sick lagi tu. But of course he still merajuk cuz I answered his sms very late, poor guy.

P/S: I passed the driving law test already. 45/50 bebeh. Looking forward to driving to school next year, you noe you're jealous!
