Then Tawau Went Away With the Prize, and This Sucks
I don't want to bother you with all the stories involving the challenge to go Lahad Datu itself. All I can say is it involved a lot of tears (on my part). Thank you so much my dearest mummy for being so generous with the plane tickets. I love you :)
I made a lot of friends especially from Keningau, Tambunan, Beaufort, Lahad Datu and Penampang. Tawau was quite nice as well. Sandakan on the other hand look quite intimidating but he actually cracked a smile later into the competition. Anyways, i never thought the impromptu speecH this year would be quite stale which is TECHNOLOGY MAKES LIFE BETTER . I didn't do as well as others but I late found out they did a debate topic on this in the state level competition and it was quite recent. That is why a lot of them did very well, apart from them being very good and experienced. One more thing, apparently a lot of districts have no competition which is why they immediately compete in the state level. That made me a little jealous because in kk, you can work your ass off training and researching and that does not even guarantee a win in anything.
So here are the list of winners
1st place : Tawau
2nd place : Keningau
3rd place : Lahad Datu
I have to say something though. Keningau was the 8th to speak, Lahad Datu was the 10th to speak and Tawau was the 11th to speak. Wanna guess who was the 9th ? YOURS FREAKING TRUELY.... That sucks right, i know :(
Anyways i have to say congratulations to all the winners and you guys deserved it. One thing that makes me happy though. My district trophy is way bigger that the trophy at the state level, so thats kinda like a way for me to be happy about losing, kinda....
Now, I have nothing in the way of my studies and that is something i can excel in as long as I work really hard.... Going back to school will definitely be weirder but hey, it's like nearing the end of the year and SPM is closer than anyone can imagine....
Speaking of test, I have to say my results kinda disappoint me so far.... I will reveal later but first this is my comment on the test
BM : Quite easy, but scoring for it is another matter
BI : Also very easy
M3 : The easiest of them all (chapter 6 only keluar, wat you expect)
CHEM : Crap most of it
BIO : All i study, x kuar, yg i x study pula, all keluar (Sucks to the max!)
PHY : I hate this subjet 1st and foremost and never motivated to study it anyway... So yeah, sucks
SEJ: Chapter 5 &6 is not my fav chapter, probably fail (and i never got less than 84)
ADD M3: To me quite okay, but a few mistakes
ENG. LITERATURE: HAHA, DIDN`T DO IT... i skip because just finish PB competition :P
P/MORAL: Quite tough, we'll see good or not the results
Wow, my stress level really went down after writing this... I don't really care if no one's reading because I really feel better after writing my feelings down.... I might even like bloggin now, so not gonna quit, yet...
I guess it's my cue to stop, so just comment or whatever k ?!

Public Speaking (Da real 1)
Back to the main thing. So, I didn't hafal my whole script because my mum told me that it is a public speaking competition and not a public hafaling the script that you have competition. I honestly just wanted to get the whole thing over and done with and i did not expect anything out of it but to gain some experience and also make new friends (which i did). So I went to school and ask teacher Rosmah to tocang lekat my haircuz if i do kan, gelembung-gelembung that. After that, i went and see teacher aini because she was the one who is suppose to take me to the competition but apparently, Pn. Pang wanted her to stay for some blood donation drive at our school. I really felt like anak terpinggir because no one wants to send me until the awesome teacher Siska agreed to accompany me.
During the part where we have to draw our number, this guy, Adam from Sanzac strike up a conversation with mua. So we had fun talking and one of those stuff was about how we don't want to be the 1st or the last to present our speech. Our wish came true bacause Adam was the 5th to present and i was the 8th (nice number!).
I know what people say about how you should psyche yourself up before a competition but honestly the only thing i did was talk, talk and talk, up till it was my turn to speak. In my opinion, i did pretty well during my prepared speech but honestly, i have to say Sean from La Salle did it the best. He even did some locking thingy during his speech because it was about the hip hop culture.
Then the dreaded moment arrive. The impromptu speech. Wanna know how did i prepare ?
If it was (insert topic), i would say:
- H1N1
H1N1 is swine flu. Repeat after me, SWINEEEEEEEEEEEE......
- 1Malaysia
In my opinion, the 1Malaysia slogan is only a political gimmick by our Most Horrible, I mean Honourable Prime Minister, Dato Seri' Najib something........ I doubt he even knows the specific definition for that particular slogan of his.
And i think i stop preparing after that..... Sad, kan ?
When I was in the quarantine room (haha, swine flu comes to mind) for the impromptu speech, I got the shock of my life when i found out the topic would be WHAT IS SAFE SEX?
I know, it was the longest four minutes ever to write a three minute speech (yes, that is the format for the impromptu speech). When the time ended, I only got the definition ready. It was the most ackward speech ever, explaining what safe sex is exactly. Most of the guys went high I guess cuz they're definitions are like rated 18 and above....
Anyways, at the end of the competition, I was quite confident on nabbing at least a place because i know my impromptu speech was done quite nicely. But having said that, I never expected to win ! Me, the one who didn't even have enough time to prepare for everything, only a few people know how i was suffering deep down inside but i believe God saw my hard work and he rewarded me accordingly :) Let's not forget the other awesome winners which is...
1st runner up : Sean (La Salle)
2nd runner up : Kieran (Maktab Sabah)
You guys are awesome and honestly i had one of the best competitions in my life. We broke the unwritten rule where we are somehow suppose to wish others to fail. Instead, we had a lot of fun talkin to one another and it will be an experience i will treasure, trust me.
The trophy is so big but i am setting my sights to win the state level competition in Lahad Datu (i'll blog about it later...). Don't worry teachers, i might not be your 1st or 2nd choice to join this competition but i promise that i will do my best for God, myself and the school. I can't guarantee anything else, but hopefully it will be enough.
p/s : the competition will be on the 21st and 22nd of July... Wish me Luck
xoxo

24 Things To Always Remember
You are unique and one of a kind.
Your life can be what you want it to be.
Take the days just one at a time.
Count your blessings, not your troubles.
You will make it through whatever comes along.Within you are so many answers.
Understand, have courage, be strong.
Do not put limits on yourself.
So many dreams are waiting to be realized.
Decisions are too important to leave to chance.
Reach for your peak, your goal and you prize.
Nothing wastes more energy than worrying.
The longer one carries a problem the heavier it gets.
Do not take things too seriously.Live a life of serenity, not a life of regrets.
Remember that a little love goes a long way.
Remember that a lot … goes forever.
Remember that friendship is a wise investment.
Life’s treasure are people together.
Realize that it is never too late.
Do ordinary things in an extraordinary way.
Have heart and hope and happiness.
Take the time to wish upon a star.
AND DO NOT EVER FORGET ….
FOR EVEN A DAY
HOW VERY SPECIAL YOU ARE !

Public Speaking Freaking Postponed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, on Wednesday, I was all prepared for the competition when it was revealed that the competition was postponed.... POSTPONED!!!!!!!!!!!
I know it is a good thing, but can't they tell me earlier, like, i dun know, before the day of the competition ?! It would have saved me a lot of nerve, tears and breakdowns..... Not only that, the letter that said it was postponed was actually received by the school on the 4th, but the "staff" conveniently forgot about it......
Thank God the little amount of self control i have was enough to hold me bact from strangling someone........
Just a thought..................

Law Olympiad
Frankly, i only went because i didn't want to attend teacher wong's class (she's a trainee teacher who gives homework like crazy and her deadlines is like the next day....). She's a nice person but sometimes humans can last only last so long listening to high pitch, high frequency voice.....
When we first arrive, the feeling i got was, was, how do i put it ? Fine, stephy put it the best, I FELT POOR ! We felt that way because while waiting for our teacher in charge to arrive, this group of Tsung Tsin girls walk around with their head held high with the type of strut that suggest them reciting mentally I'M RICH, I'M RICH.... Stephy's words, but she summed my thoughts exactly....
I was kinda disappointed because Tsung Tsin are kinda lacking in the hot guys department, but i digress....
So the first game was very nice because it requires you to find the murderer in three separate cases, so you're basically the detective. Our group of five people separated into Andrea and Eileen who worked on the 1st case, Sam and Mimi on the second case and i was the loopholer... The strategy kinda backfired because we didn't have time to finish the third case because the first two cases was kinda tough. I ended up doing the third case myself in the last two minutes and i only had time to name some random character as the culprit..... I don't know why but the Help U people thought that it is fun to mess with our brains because they told us the answer right after that... It turned out all three cases that we did, we got right :)
The rest of the competition went well and after the game is over, we had lunch at the school's canteen. OMG, so huge the place, like shopping mall !!!! two storey's again that, sakai trus dis... Apa boleh buat, Convent's canteen is like a quarter of that school's canteen... They serve us so much food that we weren't able to finish it... and being one of the responsible one's (ehem!), i offered to keep the dirty dishes at the designated area... The dustbins there are one of those that needs to be opened by steppin on the foot pedal, so i wanted to throw some food scraps when the smartass guy who was steppin on the pedal suddenly released it, causing the penutup dustbin to fall directly on my hand .... EWWW!!!!!!!
When it was time for the results to be announced, 3rd place with the RM300 prize went to Lok Yuk Team A (da smartass punya team lagi dat....), 2nd place with the RM750 prize went to Tsung Tsin Team B and the first place (RM 1500 !!!!) went to Tsung Tsin Team D.... Congrats to all the winners ! Need help spending the money ?
Although we did not win AKA lost, i was very happy cuz i cannot think of a better team to participate with. Having said that, next time, please lar Tsung Tsin, make the comp. a fair one... The rules clearly stated only TWO teams per school yet you guys sent five... I know lar bah so many people smart smart there, but don't close of chances to other schools to at least get a place okay! And no, I'm not a Sore Loser!*sulks*
